Practical nutrition
Direction that fits the food choices you actually have.
Start with your everyday context
Dining halls, grocery budgets, preferences and busy days matter. Discuss current intake, goals and practical constraints with your coach. Nutrition direction can focus on reviewed targets or habits rather than forcing everyone into calorie tracking.
Estimated maintenance is not an intake target
The starting calculator uses weight, height, age in years and a privately selected equation parameter. Mifflin–St Jeor estimates resting energy; a reviewed activity factor provides an approximate starting maintenance estimate. Daily movement and training are considered separately. You can choose “Discuss with my coach” or a manual coach-estimate path.
The coach decides what to publish
Calculated maintenance estimate, coach working estimate and current published intake target are separate. Saving an estimate or logging a new weight does not rewrite your nutrition plan. Aidan reviews history, goals and constraints before deliberately publishing direction.
Your food app stays your food app
Log calories and protein in the external app you prefer. Heaven’s Edge centralizes your published plan, reported intake summaries and weekly check-ins—not food entries, barcode scans or an automatic tracker connection.
Refine with enough context
After roughly two to three weeks, coaching review can consider intake coverage, standardized weight trends, activity changes, adherence and your feedback. Missing intake days are not zeros. This is refinement, not a measurement of exact calorie burn.
Know the limits
Aidan is not a dietitian. Coaching is general fitness and habit guidance, not medical nutrition treatment. Pregnancy, breastfeeding and other unsuitable calculator cases need individual professional review rather than a routine prescription.
Equation reference: Mifflin–St Jeor (1990). NIDDK context does not mean this app implements its dynamic model.
Your next step
Build a routine you can return to.
Apply to share your goals. Application review is separate from acceptance.
